Volunteer Spotlight - Tiffany Bess

For our December Volunteer of the Month, we would like to recognize Tiffany Bess for her service to the Duval Soil and Water Conservation District! For the past two years, Tiffany has been an Affiliate Member of our board currently serving as Community Liaison.  Her current efforts include designing our annual reports and planning our yearly Stewardship Week events. Tiffany also provides the District subject matter expertise on composting and community engagement.

More about Tiffany:

• After seeing a need, she founded Apple Rabbit Compost in 2016, Jacksonville's first food resource recycling business
• She's the former president of the Elements of MOSH, the museum's young professional group
• She served as Head of GastroFest's Green Action Committee
• She's a founding member of the North Florida Green Chamber of Commerce
• Her passions include reading, yoga, macro photography, wandering through our city's many parks, embroidery, and has recently started to learn to rollerskate!
