Required Reporting Information

BUDGET    The Duval Soil and Water Conservation District imposes no taxes or fees on the taxpayer. Our annual budget (provided pursuant to Section 200.065, Florida Statutes) consists of revenue incurred through private grants and the sponsorship of major events like Envirothon. Our annual expenses beyond the administration of the Envirothon includes rewards and prizes for winners of the annual Speech and Poster contest, membership dues in the AFCD and other national, state and local affiliations, and conference dues. Our fiscal year period runs from October 1 - September 30.

ETHICS    Learn more about the Department of Financial Services and the Annual Financial Report requirements, per Section 218.32(1)(g), Florida Statutes. 
The Duval Soil and Water Conservation District Code of Ethics is dictated by the Florida's Government in the Sunshine Law, passed in 1967, requiring that all meetings of any state, county, or municipal board or commission be open to the public, and mandates that any official action taken at the closed meeting not be binding. MEETING NOTICE: Our Full Board Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month at the Duval County Extension Office, 1010 N. McDuff Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32254, at 3:30 p.m.  The Plan of Work Subcommittee meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the same time and location. All meetings are open to the public. Public participation is available via Zoom teleconference. Links to participate are posted on our Facebook page.
